There's a place at the corner of McCully and Kapiolani at that center that has **** Yuen the chinese place on the second floor.
The Ramen place is on the second floor on the other side going downtown / aiea bound.
Best Ramen ever...and I've had a lot of Ramen.
They have a special one that you order that has these big pieces of slow cooked pork...it is the bomb.

Yup! That place is the awesomest ramen I've had here so far. It's called Kyoto ramen. Also, you may want to try goma-ichi on koreamoku st. If you want something thicker, try goma tei at ward. They have the best gyoza I've had anywhere here.

I must say that I do also love Tenkaippin......just because they have the fresh garlic/chile mix on the table.
Back in the day, we used to hit up Sonoya's (near McCully Zips) almost every night after Tantalus. Mabo Tofu ramen FTW!

Oh, you may also want to try Taishoken also on Koreamoku St. across that pretty McDonalds.
Good ramen. They have the optional cold noodles which you dip into the hot soup, then eat. It keeps the noodles chewy.

^^^ This man speaks the truth!!!. When we were in Japan last year, we ate at this Ramen place and I almost had to eat the bowl! Sooo damn good! They had a ton of little pieces of fat floating around in there. So much flavor......maybe not so good for your heart, but you only live once!

Haha Brandon I've eaten that type of Ramen and it was soo unhealthy but tasted really good despite the floating globs of fat.

Another vote for Goma Ichi... the spicy goma ramen kicks butt!
My wife and I were hooked on ramen a few years back and we tried to go to every ramen shop on the island. We were real disappointed by some of the places that looked like they would be authentic, especially some of the shops in Waikiki. Goma Ichi and the place that used to be next to Baskin Robbins on the corner of King and Punahou were the best.
