They need to revamp the entire judging system. I think the true definition of show cars means pretty and fast and it is this combination that should win consistantly. Most of the winners couldn't get a speeding ticket on the quarter mile. And can someone please explain to me why screens are worth five points each. My turbo alone cost more than most cars entire screen set ups.

i know exactly what you mean man, my dad spent so much on everything on his car and has so much to show for, but i guess the judging is somewhat biased. they gotta bring judges from the mainland that have no idea on hawaii's scene and who drives what.

in my opinion

most of the judging at this show was local judges, and thats how it should be, because local judges understands the style of how we are in hawaii, and that is a clean JDM car, last car show was a locally hosted, but judged by mainland guys, and one example, is my friend with his infiniti i30 which took nothing. he has everything converted to a Japan Cefiro, and he didn't take anything, how rare is that? to have a Japan Cefiro, i bet some of the judges don't even know what the hell is a cefiro, and oh by the way, its also supercharged. this show he took two trophies home, best infiniti and best 4 door mild. what i don't get in this show was how come none of the wrx's/2.5rs's didn't take anything in the four door class??? did we all just get booted out of the category because we would have rocked all those civics? i sure don't know what was up with that. But, as usual, everyone has their own taste, for me, i like it very clean and well put, i belive that everything should look like it fits on and is should be there, especialy my sounds, right carlo? i liked the judging for this show, well maybe its because i took best subaru, but i support local judging, even tho my first show, i lost to my friends 2.5rs because it was local judging. some people can throw a lot of money into their car, but it should matter on how it turns out looking like, if the judging is on who put the most money in their car, then it wouldn't be fun anymore. i'll try post up some pics soon, i dind't take much hopefully hangy can post some up?

Yeah, I don't think it should be ALL about money...it should be a combo of money, execution and overall appeal.
