Talking

If you look at the Post if you spotted a Subaru section you'll see another. I think G-Dogg erased that profile before too much people knew about it. There's also one more I kno off, but it's not a chick. I'll let that person come clean about that one.

since this is a public forum and people seem to have no problem displaying a part of their personal life online... here i go-

several weeks ago a prank was played using the name Dodo
it was a joke- i knew that. the ips were all connected to a select few.
a few days later another one popped up... same story.
the posts created by these new usernames were bogus posts, and basically were a prank.

on 9-29 we were introduced to a female i-clubber. apparantly in the beginning of this thread we were all under the impression that this was someone totally new.
and in popular HIIC fashion all the men flocked to this thread and blew it up to 5 pages in a matter of days. throughout the 1st 2 pages this person made it appear that she was totally new to i-club. and its people... when in fact she has been in contact with many of us prior to creating this new username.
i know that she intended to play a joke and wanted to continue this prank- even asking those who knew not to say anything.

several days later we were yet introduced to another-- thanks joe

bottom line for me is this- i hate to sound like a **** and blast certain people for having some fun... but IMO its childish and very much so grade school.

to have an anonomous username is fine. but once you use it to waste peoples time, or to fool people on purpose(and play pranks) then it can get personal... especially when its done in front of your peers.(plus we are on a very small island) we all have different thresholds in terms of taking jokes. there is really no crime here- its all about how would you like to be treated...

on a positive note, i must say that HIIC is pretty much a tight group- and yes there is some separation- every group has them. but i think for the most part we would help each other if we needed it.

thats my $.02 . . . end of sermon.

that particular profile was one started by a spouse of a member.
to "see whats going on". those of us with spouses know the deal.(its happened before)
