Hypersports has a regular dyno and a piece to convert a WRX to front wheel drive. Don't know if it works for the STI. No AWD dyno that I know of.

I sure hope we get an awd dyno soon.

Since we're on this topic, does anyone have suggestions for a place to road tune without endangering others?

hey guys, i was SERIOUSLY thinking about this issue with no awd dyno here on oahu. i wanted to open up a business for "us guys with awd" but when i found out the price difference between the awd dyno and for the regular dyno, i was shocked. i got sorta a catalog from dynojet stating that a regular dyno costs around 20k. ok, the awd dyno will run 60k. now i know why peeps down here only get the regular dyno. 40k difference. if anyone wants to see the catalog, pm me with email.

I'm thinking of places but I need to know how much space is required for a good "road tune"

I don't know what mph you'd be seeing @ 9k in 3rd gear, but I could safely do 3rd gear pulls down in the gulch (Wheeler Gulch). You'd have to get someone with mil. ID to sign you on to Wheeler, though, and then....don't get caught.

Thanks Pat!

A first I didn't plan on reving beyond 8.5k rpm, but Quirt has convinced me that our block is much sturdier than what many people believe. Contact him and find out exactly what I mean.
