What suspension components do you have???
All STI's should move to SM! Joey will be moving back by end of season, I think. Tim is moving to SM this year.
Just remember, once you put on an ALK, even w/o anything else, you're in SM. Once you mod Boost, your in SM. Once you mod your piping, you're in SM.

I don't know if you were there, but I made an announcement at the driver's meeting probably 6 months or so ago that I had a mod that I had discovered was no longer SM legal, and if any SM runners wanted me to change classes just let me know. The mod in question was my ALK. I still have the ALK on there, and if anyone ever got picky about it I would just buy the offset bushings that accomplish the same thing and are legal (because they use the stock bushing housing - dumb, right?).

Pat, you are correct. My apologies for forgetting about the change in 05. The stupid thing is that all you have to do is run a bushing kit and you will be SM legal. Don't worry though, it's all good. Everyone in Hawaii is cool w/ this mod. It will not make you that much quicker, in comparison to running fresh race rubber. What a stupid ruling.

Its been about 18 years or so since I last autocrossed, and since moving from FWD to AWD, I really want to try it again. I really hate to chew up my everyday tires and am looking to get a second set of wheels w/tires more suited for autocross before I start again. I used to run Yokohama A008Rs back in the day in D stock, does changing to a similar tire put you into the next class with the STi? I don't know about the current classifications much, but what class does the STi run totally stock?
