You will need... everything is in the same isle at home depot
23" inches of 1"x1" square steel pipe
8" 3/8" threaded rod
2x 3/8" nuts to match the rod
1x 3/8" wing nut
1x 3/8" ummm cap nut (you'll see on the pic)
1x 3/4" long 1/4"x20 thread bolt
3/8" spacer (i used 2 nuts)
1x utility wheel that you can take the wheel off
1x 10-24 1 1/2" bolt
1x 10-24 wingnut
2x 1/4-20 thumb bolts
1x little yellow cap cuz it looks cool
- first cut 2" piece of pipe, then cut 21" piece of pipe
- 4 1/4" from on end of 21" pipe drill hole all the way through with 7/16" drill bit for the head rest post
- drill another hole 6 1/4" from that hole, or 10 1/2" from end for the other head rest post
- on perpendicular side drill holes with 3/16" bit at same measurments for the thumb screws, drill this in only one side. then tap these with a 1/4"-20 tap
- on the other end of the pipe drill a 3/8" hole all the way through 1/2" from the end.
- on the 2" pipe drill a 3/8" hole all the way through
- drill a 3/16" hole on the opposite and perpendicular side all the way through
- take the wheel off and drill a 1/4" hole in the middle wheel mount to mount the camara to
- put everything together as shown.

i'm trying to watch the video.. but it won't run cleanly.. what do i need to do?? from the bits that i've seen.. it's pretty bad ***... good job.. looked like some work. i'll be eyein' out anything else ya made or make...

i should have done this a long time ago, didn't know how...
I'm sorry for inturpting downloads but i have to add this
mpg = high quality long d/l
wmv = ok quality 1/4 of the size
choose what you want =)

Where do you get the piece that comes off the tripod? Thats the last piece I need, to finally finish this thing haha. Been sitting here for like 3 months already.

dammit.
went to home depot after i DL'd the autox.wmv and they were out of the 5/8" rod. only had like a 8 foot length. anyways, i can make the camera mount BRACKET for interested persons(so you don't have to buy a wheel. wes, if you can wait a couple days, i can drop it off at brandon's. what is a better design for the bracket? a straight U shape or a omega looking U where it pinches in or a U where the mounting part is 1 1/16" and the pretensioned legs bend towards the 1x1 box bar?

I'm sure there are better ways to make, as b_drift pointed out, keepin mind this is something that came to me just before i feel asleep and then threw it together without measuring anything, and a poor selection of tools. Ideas or improvements are welcome and appreciated!!
