Please view the pics of the heads and tell me if the rust on the surface will be a problem. Will it cause any leaks?

STi Heads

Thanks Bro! And Congratulations!

I know I'm not Ed, but those heads look fine. Just clean um up a bit. The sealing surface looks good.

worst case, there's a nick on the sealing surface.
then you have them milled down a smidge and it raises your compression which in turn raises your torque... that sounds like a good deal to me!!
Milling heads cost 40 bucks a pop. Worth every penny if their aren't straight and true. In fact, you may want to take them to a machine shop just so they can verify how true they really are.
Ed gave me a 2.5RS head off of a car that overheated. It was warped pretty good. You couldn't see it with the naked eye, but when you put a straight edge on it, it was pretty obvious. 40 bucks later, it's good as new!
Runs fine now!

I like the "bucket O' head bolts" in the background of the pic with the ECU!

Any machine shops you'd recommend for the milling?

Thanks again, Doms

I used Ted's Machine shop. They had the head ready the next day and it was purty.
