I've seen this question brought up before on US STi internals. Was curious if you could shed some light on the subject?

the STi pistons are now a special hypereutectic material and STi claims a 120% increase in strength over their previous forged pistons. http://www.rallispec.com/product-eng_1.htm shows the my03/04 engine components.

I know that people have already dyno'd our the US STi at over 400hp without any problems, so I think the hyper cast pistons are pretty good. Hopefully they can handle extended heat and wear & tear, etc.
