Look what I found:

Surprising the accelerometer is that accurate.

Wow! I wonder just how accurate it really is? I'm debating right now if I should. DL it or not. Some of the reviews on iTunes are saying it's still really buggy. Maybe Jon can be the geuine pig? Heh heh

Yeah I'm debating it also. I don't trust the App Store reviews anymore because 80% of the whole store's reviews are from a bunch of idiots who don't follow directions.
I've been using it a bunch today, since I contributed to that article, and I haven't had any issues with it crashing. Unusually slow to edit and add cars, but it's never crashed. Overall a great little tool so far.

Alright, bumping this up!
Has anyone actually used this yet? I'm having trouble with mine. I tried tonight, but I'm not sure when I have to let off. I did a run tonight, but let of at around 80 mph.
My 0-60 was 7.16 secs, my 1/4 was 15.99, and my estimated HP was 173 WPH. Is this thing that inaccurate, did I use it wrong, or is my car just that slow!

Did you calibrate?
Also, you need to make sure the phone is positioned in a certain way. I haven't really got a chance to use mine though.

That is correct and I am sure touge knows this.
However, if I am understanding correctly from his post is that he is getting numbers that are near what an auto wrx bone stock will give, not what a stage2 06 5spd wrx would give. I believe the correct range on 06 WRX Stage 2 will be in the area of 230-245 WHP.
People who have the app knows that you have to calibrate it when the iphone in 6 different positions: up down sides bottom top. I also leave the unit running on my dash while doing runs. Also, make sure it's set right on the drivetrain loss and total weight(including yourself and gas).

I think the problem is I'm letting of the throttle too early. My max speed is reading as 96.2 mph on the phone. I went again later last night and got my numbers a little better. But I still let off before 100.
I wish we still had at least our drag strip here. I'm really hesitant to test this ***** out on the road, especially because I live in town.
Oh yeah, I calibrated twice just to make sure.
