I need you to take a minute and give me an honest review of your S2000.
Has it had any problems? Anything you don't like about it?
I may pick one sooner than I thought I was going to.

According to the other owners that have traded in a modded WRX or STI for an S2000 say that they regret doing it doesn't have the power that their previous car had.
I like driving the S2K

I'm keeping the STi.
the only thing i really dont like about the car is the 2 blind spots when you have the top up. I've ordered a hardtop, and this will give a few more inches of head room, and it will help with those 2 blind spots. The rear of the hardtop is all glass, so it will be so much easier to see out of.
Plus I really love the way s2k's look with hardtops on. Im honestly not too fond of the convertible, but i love the way the car drives, and handles. So buying the hardtop wasnt something i debated with for too long. I've just been waiting since october for it to come in
The steering wheel doesnt tilt, and the seats dont really have a lot of adjustabilty. Now thats fine for me, but maybe for taller people it might be a problem. and the stock radio flat out SUCKS.
Other than that, i'm completly satifsfied with my s2k. It has enough grunt to get it going quick, easy to drive and manuver around, smooth shifting, could things have been improved...? yes, but im happy with what i got, it really is a well engineered car.
as for it being slow, that all depends on what your perception of fast and slow are. there are too many variables to touch on this subject. so until you drive one, comments about cars being fast or slow, should be left out of this thread. or at least backed up with info as to why you feel that way. Because as much as I miss 21 lbs of boost, i love driving a very refined, smooth, high revving car, that gives you instant gratification as soon as you mash the pedal.
I just wish I could drive it more, I work so damned much
Dan I think if the issues I have with the car, is something that wont bother you, I think you'll be very happy in one. I still miss my WRX though, but I have no regrets picking up the s2k.

yep. i only sold the s2k because of 3 reasons. also, i honestly enjoy my sti more. anyways...
reasons why i sold it.
1) felt insecure or vunerable with a softtop or top down. come to a stop light in a not so nice area at night and you will feel what i mean. the car is UUUGLY with the top up unless it is a hardtop. (a hardtop like wes is gettign would solve this problem. and make the car niiiice....for 3G's+ more.) so this is not a valid reason if you got the xtra $$'s.
2) fenders are waaay too inviting for something like a car door to hit it. within 2 weeks of my friend getting his new one, there as a nice solid dent in the fender. it really stands out.
3) tranny/rearend felt weak. the newer ones might be beefed up more, so most likely not an issue or problem.
i would've kept it, but reason #1 and #2 were the parts i couldn't get over. it is a very nice car otherwise and if i had room, i would've probably not sold it.

ps: oh yeah, non tilting steering wheel.
pps. i picture you in a longer car like a vette or an nsx......

I can't believe it, but I fit in and can drive the s2K with no problems. The car feels great and I feel great in it. I went on a long test drive today just to make sure.

I guess all that matters is if you like it and feel good when you drive it. If it gives you that satisfying rush, then go for it. If you have one AND keep your STi, that would be awesome.
Nobody buys an S2K to be practical. They buy it for the feeling.
