hey dave i could sooo use your help!! my computer went down and im hoping i can at least save the pics and music on it its a mac book and what happens is that when i turn it on the white screen comes up and then after a couple minutes a manila forlder thing with a question mark pops up and flashes???????? give me a ring as i lost you number and cant find it any help would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks buuuuuuu!!!

 

Warren try this.......
do you have another mac book or access to one?
do you have a fire wire cable?

1. turn on the mac book that is not yours
2. hook up fire wire cable to the two mac books
3. on your mac book hold down the apple button and T button at the same time and then hit the power button while holding the two other buttons down.
4. your mac book will now boot as a external device and you will see it as such on the mac book that is not yours.
5. click on your HD and remove the files you need.

this should work but I do not know the degree of how bad your mac is.
