Hey do the filter need a crush washer? I've changing the OEM filter w/o the crush washer for a longer time already. I'm just curious if it needs one. Thanks.

Chucky,
I don't know of a crush washer for the oil filter...I've only used the rubber washer that comes with the filter...
The only crush washer I've used is between the oil pan and drain plug...
I just picked up a couple of crush washers from 5 star subaru last month...looks like a tubular copper ring or aluminum ring...flattens out when you tighten the drain plug...I re-used my crush washer the first time I changed my oil...had some oil dripping out...I tightened it a little more and it stopped...Because of this, I now always use new crush washers everytime I change my oil.
as far as the oil filter goes (I'm using Amsoil Filter and Syn Oil now because of Brandon-thanks man), I just put a little bit of oil on the rubber seal with my finger and hand tighten the oil filter on...not a single leak...cars working like a charm...
New plugs really perked things up as well...
