Have you figured out how to go about setting/adjusting the long term fuel trim?

Could you school me?

We don't have a **** to turn - and we can't "set" it. The computer is constantly adjusting the trims to bring itself back into the state of tune that it wants.

We have to "trick" the computer into running the kind of #'s that we want to see.

Unfortunately without Delta Dash we can't really see this #.

Why do you ask?

I was wondering, this problem that you guys have with the UTEC's correcting itself all the time. Can it be eliminated by getting a reflash lets say by Cobb or EcuTek??

I don't want to "disappear" unexpectedly one day.

Rich,

Did you read the directions for the parallel mod? Do you think you could help me out on that? I read the directions and sort've can visualize, but I know what usually happens. I get half way into it, and find out something pretty crucial that I didn't realize before I started.

I skimmed it. Nobody has proved to me that there is sufficiently uneven fuel distribution to make me consider doing this mod, however so I didn't read it step by step.

What did you realize you didn't realize?

I'm just saying that's SOP for me whenever I try to do a mod or an install.

Even something as easy as my headlights turned a little harder than I originally thought it'd be. Turbo timer, UTEC, lat links, end links, swaybar. At least the IC install was as easy as I thought it would be.

Oh. Gotcha. I think you do some GREAT research before spinning any wrenches. I'm impressed. Now go do that mod. and prove to me it was worth it and you can help me do it to my car later.
