Hey guys & gals,
Well today I got a scare today as my Grandma unpurposely gave my Dad's UKC Pitbull Terrier Twix chocolate. Due to popular belief that Chocolate kills dog and it does with a large of amount of consumption. Good thing when she gave, I already seen it. Dude, I was flippin out and cursing but I knew she did it unitentionally! Well long story short, I waited for 8+ hours and she's all g and think the chocolate passed through her system as it states that after consumption, few hours will pass and he/she will have bowl movements in the form of diarrehea. Found a couple of sites that helps in case you dog owners go through the same situation as me. I'd suggest you save this on your computer/laptop or bookmark as these sites will be very handy during these crisis!!! TRUST ME, I did...

^ no actually the rule applies to all dogs but its more towards the richer chocolates. So Walter's right, a small amount (bite-sized) will not harm your dogs but its always better to be safe than sorry.

my jack russle terrier ate a whole chocolate cake once.....perfectly fine, but when he ate funions he broke out in hives. long story short he was a smart dog and knew how to get to things
We try to avoid giving our dogs processed human food, but when they give you that look, i know it's hard not to give in.
But honestly, try to avoid giving non-organic, non-pet foods. Also, avoid pet food that has the entire corn ground up in the kibbles.
Ask CallMeCrazy for more info, or Noctural13itch. Optimum health for pets can have them living long, fulfilled lives (i sound like a eukanuba commercial...).

you kinda do actually
No but seriously.. I've only been working at the Animal Hospital for almost 2 months now and some of the things I've seen because of animals consuming things that aren't meant for them is sad

And when you love your pets, sometimes you will pay dearly for their health.
I know we could've bought a supercharger for what we paid for BB's heartworm and bloodwork treatments. But, you may say it's too expensive, but when the time comes, you will pay whatever it costs.
just looking at this face....
YOU will pay, trust me.
