Been playing for about a year now. Ghost Recon and Island Thunder. Most realistic first person military game IMO. :banana:

Not on the XBOX, but...

I was looking at "Kill Switch" for the PS2. Has anyone played it? Is it worth it? Looks like an awesome game, but sometimes shooters aren't as good as you'd hope.

Hey mach5, Ive got like 50-100 ft of cat 5 with ends if you need it, but you will still need a crossover cable. And Boom, I heard the same thing about getting blackmailing modded boxes. Thats cool though, cause Ive got the newer moded box and I just go on xbconnect online, it's a free server. No need for xbox live kit.

Okay, so I finally signed up for Xbox Live. I bought GT Online for $20 and it comes with 2 free months. I also bought the starter kit so I have the headset and a free copy of MechAssault. Looks like I'm hooked in for at least 14 months.

Got my "you know what" handed to me last night playing GT Online. Time to invest in a wheel as I have a hard time controlling the car with the thumb stick.

Also Colin Macrae 04 should be out now. It supports online, but I heard it's just to upload scores. Oh and it's only $20 too..

In the past, Xbox live checks to see that the xboxdash.xbe is original and that the BIOS Image has the proper checksum...

As long as you have your Dashboard set to something else, evoxdash.xbe and your mod chip is disabled you should be able to play... as long as your hard drive is locked so that the original BIOS can actually boot off of it...

However, it looks like they've added some new code in to check the model number and size of the hard drive on connect... it doesn't look like they are banning anyone for it yet... but I'm sure they will soon... until the BIOS hackers find the proper way to spoof the model and size of the hard drive you'll just have to keep your old hard drive handy and set up an IDE switch to go back an forth between your stock HD and the new one.
