Question Anyone know where I can get...

Pastel de Belem (a.k.a. pastel de nata) on O'ahu?
I'm talking about those Portugese custard tarts. I figure with all da Portaghee around here, there should be a bakery that makes them well.
Any suggestions?

P.S. NO Chinese bakery kine, I don't want a burnt "dan tat"

P.P.S. Expect more questions as this thread progresses. Mahalo!

Hey Ryan, I have no idea what those are, but I say pick up a bunch of fresh Spanish rolls from Nanding's Bakery (kalihi or Waipahu) and call it a day. Hot, Buttery, sugary love......who could ask for anything more.

Yup, at the last PDX tune, Me, Jayden, and Jarrad were the only ones sitting outside Rads in the morning, waiting for Ren to open shop. I bought a box of those right before I showed up and we were all mackin' down on those things. Between Jarrad and I, we probably ate a dozen and a half.

Those are so easy to eat, hard to stop, and oh so good.

It's a lil harder to find what you're looking for Ryan... you have to go back to the Chinese bakery kine. You ALWAYS go back to the Chinese bakery kine.

Butter, sugar, and nice soft warm bread. Seems so simple, but it's good.
