Anyone know a cheaper place to get Fiberglassing materials?
I know Home Depot has Evercoat stuff, and Ace carries some Fiberglass Hawaii stuff too. I think a quart of resin at Ace is like $14.
Should I try and find Fiberglass Hawaii and buy direct or would it be a waste of gas money?
Unless anyone knows a better/cheaper place to buy materials (mat, cloth, resin)
Thanks in advance.

Try some of the
bigger Marine shops...they sell Fiberglass in larger quantities and reduced prices than most hardware places.
I think there is a pretty big marine shop near Sand Island? I know in Alaska, this is the kind of store where I used to get all my stuff...substantially cheaper than Home Depot or other hardware stores due to the bulk nature of the purchase.
Give those places a shot...
(Yeah Dan, I've been looking at messing with fiberglass again also...been reading up on techniques etc.) Problem is, it's typically a very expensive "messing around" heh heh...

IIRC, when I bought stuff at fiberglass Hawaii, the matt on the roll was much cheaper than at City Mill and Home Depot. The variety of materials was also quite good. I can't remember if the resin was significantly cheaper though.

Thanks for the replies everyone..
I actually had enough "Home Depot" (Evercoat) resin left to get me by.. ugh I hate fiberglassing.
Looks like Fiberglass Hawaii is the place to be if I need anymore materials.
