I don't think the movie is half as bad as poeple say it is. They are just actors portraying a certain character. It's just unfortunate that japan's film industry doesn't have the funding to make a movie like that. C'mon.... the chinese aren't that bad right? Right? they can go drifting too right?....=) =P

 

Why something wrong with us Chinese? What? We're not good enough to make the Initial D movie? The casting might be off but I think they put a lot of effort into making this movie.

Hey, at least it wasn't an US made movie. Anyone remember Street Fighter the Movie?? Horrible!!

I can see that Paul Walker being cast as Takumi in the US production of it. LOL!

 

LOL... I remember that POS... they made Guile (read: American guy) the main character and made Ryu & Ken... the push overs. US version of foreign films = teh suck.

There were a HK version of the Street Fighter too... just as bad but at least it's funny.

Anyway, back to Initial D... I will tolerate Jay Chow as Takumi, I will tolerate Jay Chow as Takumi, I will tolerate Jay Chow...

haha. nothing wrong as i am full chinese. and that is me in my avatar so yes, chinese can drift.

but the characters just don't seem right and it reminded me of watching a anime with HK voiceovers.

when i saw the anime w/ HK voices, i shut it off and looked for the jdm version.

When I first watched Initial D (Stage 1), the first 4 I watched were in Japanese, then the next 6 episodes were in Chinese. The Chinese just didn't seem right, after watching the first 4 in Japanese. I just tracked down the Japan language one from then on.

The magic throw was **** too... lemme remember... back 2 second forward and fierce plus roundhouse? You remember the Guile "stand"??? Where he stand on one leg... kinda like the flamingo? Okay... geek mode off...
