Anyone here play guitar?
I have played off & on for quite a while, but I am pretty much stuck in a rut as far as improving my playing. Its boring playing the same crap over & over !!
If anyone wants to jam lmk I'll bring my guitar to the next meet.

I've been playing on and off for @ 25 years. Always up for jammin'.
What area are you in? I couldn't tell from your prof. I'm in Redwood City, Cali.
What kind of stuff are you playing? How do you think you could make guitar playing exciting again? Maybe it's time to get hooked on a new guitarist or new genre and start figuring some new tunes/riffs out. As long as you're having fun, just keep playin'!
Switching it up always helped me. I'm not playing 6+ hours a day like I did when I was a kid - but once I got bored of rock/fusion/whatever I started to learn classical guitar and how to read music. Aaron Shearer's books are very good for that. I was reading in a matter of days and learning a lot of cool classical stuff.
I don't know if you're a big fan of the 70's rock gods like Zep and The Who - great stuff to learn - if you're sick of the standard stuff, try searching around for other guitar gods you aren't as familiar with... Google "favorite guitarists" or something...
Good place to start as any:
