Anyone have pics of Joey's old car?
I've been looking and looking for some old pics of joey's GC8. I have searched the i club database for hours. I don't have mad searchin' skillz.
Could anyone help me out?
Thanks.
My car is in the shop right now getting fixed. I hit a telephone pole head on. Really sucks, but it was still driveable.
It's getting paint on most the panels because I just put a JDM Ver 5 rear bumper with spats and a RB5 wing. So all that plus rockers and lip are being painted... oh and the hood, front bumper, fenders etc from the pole.
Joey, did you use the USDM rear bumper beam? I got the lightweight one. What did you use to mount your license plate?

Hey Dom...I used the USDM rear bumper beam.
As far as mounting the license plate, I had to do 2 parts. The first involved taking a 1/4" thick, 1 1/2" wide aluminum strip and glued it on the ledge above the opening for the license plate lights. I used a ABS 2-part epoxy to secure the strip, so I wouldn't have to drill into the bumper. I then drilled into the aluminum strip and mounted the license plate lights there.
to mount the license plate, I centered the plate where I wanted it, then drilled two holes where the plate wound mount. I then inserted the plastic retaining thingees (you screw into them...they are sold at Checkers or Napa or other car stoers as license plate mounting something or other) into the holes that I drilled and glued them in from the back so they wouldn't come out.
At least that's how I remember doing that...

I'll post pics when I get it back tomorrow or tuesday.
I can't wait. The RB5 just "belongs" on that car.
I totally want to get the mudguards too. They really help the look of the car.

Ha ha ha.
No wonder you responded on this thread
You know, to me that car is gorgeous even without all of the body kit stuff. With the body kit stuff, it is pure sex, though.
BlazerWRX hopefully responds to give an update on how the old car is doing.
