Nooooo!!!

The students that we teach are training to be law enforcement personel, in the event that the base (pearl harbor) goes into FP Charlie or Delta. So we record them so that they can see how they perform under extreme and intense pain.

Sweet, so you have a DVD recorder, i have DVD's i just need 1 made and the rest i'll do at work. Oh and i have a Hi8 camera already + power cord so all i would need is your recorder. When do you think is best for you. i'll PM you my #.

thank you
mario

Umm... I guess I got your msg wrong. See, the DVD recorder is like the Declaration of Independence in a museum display. Not suppose to leave the premise... and also it belongs to my dad. I can burn a copy for you, but if it's sensitive info not for civilian's eyes then I can't really help you. I hope you understand. Let me know.

^^^ You might be mistaken for a DVD burner.

Well... DVD recorder is a DVD player w/ recording capability. It works like the video recorder/player. Let's say you want to convert an old video tape (analog) to a DVD. You need to use the recorder to transfer the contents to the disc (DVD).

DVD burner makes copies of the actual DVD itself and/or taking files (which are digital from the start) in the computer (music, video, data) and burn them on the discs.

In short, DVD recorder is taking analog source and transferring them to the DVD. DVD burner is taking digital source and transferring them to the DVD.

In Mario's case, he will need a DVD recorder because his source is a Hi-8 tape.
