Anyone have a Cam gear wrench..........

that I can borrow to hold the cam gear in place while i torque down the mounting bolt? I think it is Subaru specific? not certain though

yes, how long do you need it for?

your talking about the cam sprockets that hold the timing belt right? the one pictured right?

thats the one....................but how do you use that to hold down the other ones? because the drivers side intake cam gear looks different from the rest?

it's a dual wrench. you use it to hold down the cam gear to remove the center allen screw or to properly align the markings of the cam gears for the timing belt.

i guess what i was trying to say was how do you use that wrench on the other cam gears? like the exhaust cam gear posted in your pic? unfortunately for us subaru decided to make different designs on cam gears. will your wrench work on the others?

what i meant for dual wrench was that it holds the inner and outer sprockets of each cam gear.

on 2.0L engines it works on both the intake and exhaust cam gears
on 2.5L engines it works on only the exhaust side.

the only place you can get one of these at the moment is through kent moore

they are made to order and ungodly expensive.

sweet! I will give you a call when I need it. It will possibly be this weekend. Is it at your east side or west side house?

yup, i called cobb earlier today to find out about their avcs wrench and they mentioned that was discontinued as well.

I could be wrong but coming directly from them I wouldn't say otherwise.

I have the cobb version btw
