Anyone gone from FXT to WRX or WRX STI?

Howzit everyone,

I currently own a 2013 FXT and I love it, esp. the grin across my face when I cold start it in the morning, that and I love the space it provides. With that said however, there is still this part of me that gets super excited when I think of owning a WRX, esp. an STI, so I was wondering, and I know this is gonna sound silly, but has anyone switched from an FXT to a WRX or STI and if so what did you think after your switch? This is the noobie in me speaking but are there a lot of noticeable differences between the 3 in terms of day to day driving and feel?

i have, stick with the forester and just fix the things that make it feel like an SUV. you can do a lot with the forester to make it drive more like a wrx.

Agreed. I've gone backwards.....started with an STi, moved into a WRX wagon, then into a non-turbo Forester. At the same time, my wife had a '10 Forester XT Limited. While I can say that the STi was awesome to drive, the XT was no slouch either. Like Justin said, you can do a lot to make the Forester pretty awesome to drive too. I had Cusco coilovers and a Whiteline rear sway bar on my wife's XT and it handled better than any SUV I'd ever driven, not to mention had more trunk space to carry day to day essentials than any of the previous year Suby Sedans. Manual transmission aside (although depending on your commute, you may love the auto part), I'd say keep the Fozz and enjoy the ride

Thanks everybody, yeah I've gotten pretty attached to my FXT and love the idea of coilovers and a rear sway bar mod, time to drool over rallysportdirect stuff at lunch lol!
