Curious if anyone has gone and driven the G35 yet? Curious what you think.

I drove a G35 sedan. MUCH more exciting than my IS300 was. The interior doesn't seem to be as plush though - but it's WAY more sporting...

Yeah I completely gave up on the IS, 215hp is lame for $35k. Just curious. Sorta took a liking to the G35 Sports Couple over the last week or so...

The G35 is a bit too "mature" looking. I mean the steering wheel and dash and such look more like a mid-life crisis sorta car. Too much silver and all. Who knows. Gotta check it out in person I guess...

If only the IS has closer to 300hp...

I don't think the IS300 should be a Lexus. They should have brought over the 4-cylinder sporty Altezza and made it a sedan version of the Celica or something.

IS' are just NOT luxury cars.

I haven't driven a G35 coupe yet, but I drove a 350Z 6-speed and that thing is really nice!

Car Info: MkIII MR2, s14, 94 mx5, 99 mx5. The beauty of rwd.
G35 sedan= Fun classy sport sedan
G35 sedan + 6speed manual (out this year)=

If you want 90% of the performance of the 350Z plus a rear seat (well at least for childeren under 5 feet tall) Get the G35 coupe.

They sell for 34-35k fully loaded (brembos, 18's, limited slip, etc.)

Compared to the G35 coupe, or even sedan, the IS kinda blows... No offence, but the IS really should've been marketed as a lower status sport sedan...

What we REALLY need is a G45 coupe and sedan using the VK45 from the Q45 and M45... It should work... the new FX35 and FX45 both use the VQ35 and VK 45. Infact, I'm pretty sure the FX35 is basically a raised G35 (it has the same engine, exhaust and auto trans from the auto coupe)

I've driven it and almost bought it...it's very much worth it if you have the cash, and you want the middle ground between the 350Z and the G35 sedan...

Yeah, Im hoping the STi will come in and I will fall in love instantly. Otherwise Im having doubts. I gotta atleast drive everything else in the $35k range to make sure. The idea of having the almost 300hp WITHOUT any turbo is just appealing. I mean throw a turbo on those cars and then what are they gonna be like. Of course voiding the warranty is another thing. Who knows. I just wanna make sure I LOVE what I pay that much for...

It will be alot easier to make power off the STi than the G35/350z....It already has a turbo

How do you figure? I would think that a car that already has the turbo and makes 300hp would be harder to beef up than the car that makes 287hp (z) and you could just throw a turbo on and be ahead of the sti already. I wont pretend to know about this crap, but it seems to make sense to my less than knowledgeable brain...

There are already turbo and supercharger kits for the 350z, I would think that they would be faster then an STi in some regards especially the top end, where most subaru's fall flat on their face due to close ratio gearboxes.

One nice thing about the Z is that I wouldnt have to worry about having the kid in the car. Im scared to death of baby-upchuck in the STi. Gives me chills...

Go to www.stillen.com and look under the 350z parts. There is a supercharger.

There is also HKS with a turbo kit that was at I think SEMA. I have the picture on my website I'll post later.
