yes and no. depends on what you are buying. if its for cosmetic stuff and fairly not too expensive... if you start shopping for big money items i.e. power upgrades etc... i'd much rather you drop your money with one of vendors... someone that has a reputation to maintain....

Yes and no. Sometimes, sellers on eBay may screw you over on shipping costs for profit. I have done some shopping on eBay myself. I am curious as to what goodies you're finding on eBay. It's rare for me to get a good find, and chances are about 542543 people are bidding on it already, ha ha. Once in a while, though, you may find some rare jewel on there. Other than that, all I see are fake badges, stickers, blue "HID" headlight bulbs, +20hp performance chips, cheap "coilover" systems, no-name exhaust components, fake hoodscoops, STi replica stut tower brace/H-brace combos, Recardo "not Recaro" racing seats, and neon kits.

I think that its a great alternative for stuff new and used that you cant buy on the island or if local shops are asking for crazy prices,..I got many a times a great deal and for hard to find (cause only available in mainland or Asia) kind parts,...Especially for cell phones, batteries,..oem stuff cheaper than what Verizon is asking,..
Just make sure you check the seller's Feedback and get Paypal to pay for stuff,..

when in vegas i purchased my sti replica front/rear strut bars and the H bar from ebay, the seller was located in cali so i got fast service and cheapass shipping, not to mention a really good deal since i bought all 3 at once. funny how i got all three of those things cheaper than the price i paid for my cusco rear sway when i went to superautobacs. lol.
