No not all LS's are FWD. I think only 93 and 94's were FWD only. After that AWD was an option. Someone should pick it up to do a swap. Who care's if it is an LS all you need is a new gas tank and you can make it AWD. You don't buy and LS to race, you buy it to do a swap on.

Maybe I got mixed up. Impreza L's were all AWD after 98...and all Subarus for that matter. I don't recall a Impreza LS after 98. They did make the Breighton, which was basically a FWD, no p/w/l Impreza...
