Any good machine shops?

I'm lookin for a machine shop on the island that knows what they are doing when it comes to Subaru engines/heads... I'm doing a hybrid build (2.5 w/2.0 heads) and I need my heads machined some to match the bore of the 2.5... I don't trust myself enough to try and attempt it with a Dremel, and I want it done right

Anyone have a good place to helicoil some brembo calilper threads?
I took out all 4 calipers, 2 out of the 4 the threads came out with the bolts...

Snyders for that too?

I actually have the correct helicoil kit for it already. Just a little weary of doing it myself. Don't have a drill press anymore to level it out on.

Snyders did my 2.0 heads for my 2.5 motor. Great job but tell him not to stamp the heads with how much he shaved off.

Rick at Servco says they (Servco Subaru) use a guy in Kailua, probably this guy. Call Rick and he can give you the number.

Yes, Rick is in parts at Servo.

Clarification on headwork done, Snyders did my 08 STi heads on my rebuild. I'll be sending my 2.0 heads shortly.

Charge was $510 for 3 angle valve job and valve adjustments and $120 for resurfacing the heads. I also did a pressure test for an extra $95. Total was $725. I provided new valve seals. See Marc at Snyders.

i lost the thread somewhere on iwsti or nasioc....of a company or machinist that had a cnc program already setup loaded and tested for the 2.5 w/ 2.0 head conversion....prices looked really cheap and the turnover rate would probably be quicker...just probably gotta send a core back to get that cheap price....

So I've heard Snyders, Teds, and some place called Head Hunters... Any body have input or comparisons on the 3?

And FYI, Snyders did it in 2 days, 1 day earlier than promised!

I usually add a day when i'm told things would be done by most shops. Lol.

I also heard good things about Snyders can they build a whole long block. I been looking and it seem I would have to send it to the mainland to get it build.
