Any good local computer stuff deals?
'Puter is starting to crap out on me... I'm looking for decent deals on the following:
1. 512mb PC2700 DDR RAM
2. 80GB+ 8MB Cache 7200rpm Hard Drive
There's a 160GB WD SE 8mb cache drive that's $99 after rebates at CompUSA. That might be too hard to pass up. I don't need anything that big though...
Any thoughts on the ram? They have a PNY stick that's $59.99 after rebates ($79.99 - $20 mail-in rebate)...

Not sure about local stores but I do about 80% of my PC shopping at www.newegg.com They normally have a ton of great deals!

Correction there Scoophi. PNY does not manufacture ram, they just slap their names on it.
If you can find PNY ramsticks made by Infineon or Samsung, they are better than decent. Rest are crap.
