Another idea that'll get shot down!!
I've noticed cars here and there, not particularly subarus, who use a metal mesh as grills or for air ducts in thier bumpers. i was wondering if i bought a sheet of this stuff (cuz it only comes in sheets ive found so far) if anyone else would be interested in one. Other mini ideas include having a shop cut your screen name out in metal and putting it on the grill as well. let me know guys.

Where have you looked for this
I was at royal metals today and I saw a ****load of that material
I think they even had scraps but not too sure
I'm going again tomorrow I'll check it out
I would be interested in some I could even make stencils so you could spray on whatever you wanted

that's taking it a little to far as to goto a metal shop to custom cut out your screen name....
if you wanted to do something like that then i would suggest since you don't have a FMI that you just but a piece out that will fit your lower air dam and spray paint your screen name out (creatively of course through masking...etc.)

I wasn't talking about cutting names out of it.
Royal metals does not do that.
I did see rolls of that mesh stuff there though.
I'll check how much it is today I'm about to go to pick up some aluminuim.
Yes its in sand island down the street from alisha's market.
If you want names and stuff cut out of it I know Universal Manufactures does that.
If a 4x10 sheet of alum is 84.37 I wonder how much the mesh would cost
It looked kinda heavy duty not like chicken wire stuff.

the stuff i found is fairly light and 4mm thick, so durable and you have the option to polish it or paint it, i dunno, we'll see.
