Now, changing out the fuel pump and installing the rear subframe and tank on the RS was not documented...if I remember correctly, we were busting a** that day so we didn't even think of taking pics.

From there we had to decide how we were going to mount the heater core from the STi into the RS so I could have AC. Jimi was awesome at measuring out and re-welding the mounting brackets from the STi on to the RS frame...not to mention cutting into the firewall to re-route the coolant lines for the heater core. He also had to weld some holes in the firewall where the RS lines would be coming in, and they werent used.

Then we got the front cross member on and the new short rack installed. We also started to seal up the areas we cut and tape off the holes to prepare for painting.

Before we were going to drop the engine in, we had to have the engine bay painted (since the car is going to be a different color than stock).

Before the engine could be put in, we had to put in the brackets for the clutch pedal, brake master and booster, and the rest of the pedal assembly. Jimi once again came thru and decided that it would be cleaner if we chopped off the mounts from the STi frame and weld them on to the RS...

Now that all the engine/ transmission things were in, next was to tackle mounting the hear core and dash beam...there was a LOT of modification to the dash bar in order to fit the heater core. Once again, props to Jimi...

So after all that...it was one issue that lead to another.

I had decided early on to keep my RCE Tarmac II suspension and do a 5 x 114.3 hub conversion. This would allow me more choice for rims, as well as keep the same ones I use for SCCA.

The ordeal with 6Gun Racing is not something to be discussed here...so to make the story short, I got all the necessary parts from Subaru and LIC Motorsports. Unfortunately, the batch of adapter rings I got were off...

So the new rotors and pads get put on and most of the mechanical things are finished, here comes Dave to finish the wiring for the headlights, taillights, etc...
