I don't care what

synthetic you're using (I run Redline myself), 35k for an oil change is asking for trouble. I change at 3K.

Redline also has

extended drain intervals, but unless you have a really expensive oil filter to support the drain interval, I still think you're making a mistake.

Not sure

For me I can't see spending the amount of money that Redline, Amsoil, or Royal purple cost and change it every 3k but if you have the money then go for it. For me Mobil 1 works just fine yea it's not much cheaper but a little and changin it every 3k it all good. I use a Fram filter I've always used Fram and never had any problems so I stick with what works. But if anybody has any suggestions for a better Oil filter my ears are open I know Fram aren't the best.

Hah. I think Greg got a rash of sheet at an install day for having a Fram on his car. Be prepared. I forget what everyone recommends. Im scared to look at what they put on mine when I had the oil changed. Gotta get some better ones for next change.

Who cares

No big deal, it works for me never had a problem with Fram. I wanted a OEM filter but didn't fell like drivin downtown to Schuman to get it and Five star didn't have any they only had some Napa filters thats what they use... So whats a good oil filter then? If there is a real good one then I'll try it just let me know what everybody reccomends. Next time though I'm just gonna get a Subaru filter and be done with it.

I dont think anyone really cares what you run on your car. It just preference like anything else. Oil. Gas. Tires. Wheels. Who really cares as long as you are happy and things work right. I think there are just a lot of opinions on this board and I listen because most everyone here has a ton more experience and background than I do.

You might check this filter,

http://www.cmfilters.com/ I would like to mount a remote filter, but don't a lot of space in the engine bay, except above the turbo.

Wow. Even if the claim is true, I don't think I could break myself from the 3-7.5k oil change habit I've built up over the years.

How are you going

to change the filter without losing the oil? Unless you remote mount the filter or drain and reinstall the oil?

Yeah Im with you. I change every 3000 miles, no excuses. I figure its only what $40 or so and it saves the car. No way could I go longer, it wouldnt feel right.
