Amp??

I'm looking into purchasing an amp to power my 4 speakers in my 04 sti, but I have no idea what to look for. I would appreciate some advice on what type of amp to buy and also what brand. Thanks in advance!

what kind of speakers do you have in your sti and how much are you willing to spend? There is a whole a$$ load of options depending in how much you want to spend. Typically, you would want a 4 channel amp that puts out about 75-125 watts rms per channel. If you only have stock speakers, the built in amp on the deck will be sufficient.

6 1/2 Alpine - coaxial (rear)

Trying to spend $200-$300...

I would get a Rockford fosgate at around 250-300 watts rms 4 channel. Rockfords give out a clear sound for their price and they put out a lot more than they are rated at. Since you have coaxials and not seperates, you do not need too much power, but an amp will make those mb quarts sound way better than the deck.

I second that....probably the best for your money. Too bad RF makes everything so big these days.

Just my opinion but i'd skip on powering the rear speakers and get a small sub to go with a 4ch amp.....I'd even go far enough to say sell the rears and put the money towards the amp/sub. You dont sit in the back right???
