Almost bought an IS300 tonight...

Went in kind of late, everyone was just standing around. Salesmen got the car to around $35000 with taxes and everything. Tried to get it to $450 a month (60 months) / $10,000 down with 4.7% interest. Dealership, or should i say "manager" wanted $459, we weren't going to budge, so we left. It was a nice car and now we shall be searching for something else. Also stopped by BMW before the Lexus dealership, the price for the 330i was totally different from what we expected

and the guy had an attitude problem

,so we left.

No kidding, it may be a lexus.. But it's still not worth that price. I'd get it for perhaps $29-$32k.

for 35k the IS300 is an overpriced, overweight, old technology POS.
Do you realize what you could buy with $35,000??
Thats a pretty large range of choice, i suggest you review your options.

i could never see my self enjoying a IS. Ive sat in them and checked them out. I wouldnt pay over 25k for it. If i was in the 35k market i would look at the Z, g35,sti, evo,RX-8

I love the IS's and wouldnt pay over $30k for one. Needs to offer a whole lot more for that price. I do continually see the G35s and wish I had checked them out a bit more...

Had an IS, wouldn't go back even for the price I paid ($29k). If I had $35k lyin' around I'd be hard pressed to decide between a G35 coupe or an '03 Cobra. I think I'd give in to civility and get the G35 at my age though.
