I recently encountered a fake mobile body repair guy driving his personal car with his wife and kid with him. For anyone with dents,scratches or dings this guy or his girlfriend will ask if you need a fast repair and will it'll be cheap. BEWARE THIS GUY IS A FAKE.....As for me I only had minor dings and thought it would be fast. He does attempt to work on your car to make it seem like its being fixed(hammering and tapping as a PDR body repair would do) and while your not looking covers it with a coating of compound and says its finished took about 30mins and did nothing. He drives a blue car something like a old caddy or thunderbird, they look spanish and the guy goes by robert or manny. Have called him continuously got through twice( and he said he'll get back to me) but I think he's screening calls now. I have been scammed so if anyone comes across them DO NOT BELIEVE THIS GUY....I will remove this message if repairs are done or my money is returned....Til then if anyone is presently having their car worked on by this guy and knows his location please respond or pm.

This is the VERY WELL known thing that was going around for years. I think they coined the term here called "Gypsy Auto Repair" lol.

I haven't met a car enthusiast in Hawaii that hasn't heard of them.

Cmon guys, have some sympathy. Poor guys out some dough here now. Pretty lame theres someone around doing something as shady as that.

But if you like, I have some guy who keeps emailing me with some overseas account he needs help accessing.

A kid approached me at Don Quiote with similar lines. Cheap dent repair/removal. I just brush him off.

When it's too good to be true, it's probably is.

 

brah, i bet these guys would even go so low as to look for nice cars, and make small dents themselves! then approach you and say they noticed your car has dents and if you would like them "fixed". i would take a bat to his knees then ask him if he needs to call 911 for an ambulance

if anyone asked me if i needed dent repair, i would go quickly to my car and check it out before i lost sight of him...probably was him who made um

 

I know this is kind of off, but does anybody know any legit places or people who can fix dents?? There's a dent on my hood that makes me sad every time I see it.
