i did a paper on the thermogenic effects of caffeine for my excercise & nutrition class at UH & that page coulda helped. i've heard to drink some caffeine before cardio to increase the fat burn before..

"Caffeine increases the level of circulating fatty acids. This has been
shown to increase the oxidation of these fuels, hence enhancing fat
oxidation. Caffeine has been used for years by runners and endurance
people to enhance fatty acid metabolism. It's particularly effective
in those who are not habitual users."

reading thru alotta other stuff on that page... for you guys with migraines .. except where do you find ergot alkaloids ?

"Caffeine in combination with an analgesic, such as aspirin,
is widely used in the treatment of ordinary types of
headache. There are few data to substantiate its efficacy
for this purpose. Caffeine is also used in combination with
an ergot alkaloid in the treatment of migrane (Chapter 39)."

i'm pretty sure u don't have to take high doses unless you have a high tolerance. its not saying to take alotta caffeine & *poof* the fat melts off.. Take in some caffeine -Jus Before- doing some CARDIO exercise or if you're doing some endurance event. The frequency would be as often as you do cardio.. i believe..
