Adjusting the clutch?

My clutch grabs toward the bottom. Is there any way to adjust it like a cable or something? Thanks in advance

Forgot to add that the car is a 2002 2.5 RS wagon

Engagement is based on clutch face depth and the condition of your clutch fluid. It's hydroliC like brakes so nothing to adjust, maybe try bleeding it?

Lay under your dash look above the gas pedal, you will see the rod for the clutch going through the firewall. There is lock nut there loosen it, than take off the bronze retainer clip which will let you remove the pin. After doing this the silver "U" joint that the pin was going through can now be turned on the threads of the rod. Turn it about 1-2 turns where it moves higher on the threads. Lightly push the clutch in to line the holes up, put pin back in insert clip and tighten the lock nut and give it a try.

just for future reference, and someone correct me if i'm wrong, but for the non-turbo imprezas (at least for the bugeyes), the sedan is an RS and the wagon is a TS or Outback Sport (OBS). i'm pretty sure yours is an OBS.

anyway, hope you're liking the car

Most likely yes. Subaru doesn't change things much across models. Should be the same or similar for models with hydraulic clutches.

Counterclockwise, There's not much thread left in that direction so do like 2 turns and see how it feels. Have you bled/changed the clutch fluid yet?

It's just like loosening or tightening a bolt. Left is to remove and right is to tighten. If the clutch is still good REPLACING the old fluid will do wonders.
