Pacific Parts in Waipahu has race gas, it's on the street behind the stupidbaru dealership. Bring your own container, but as much as you like in gal increments.

Pacific Parts is out. They blame it on the shipping strike going on.
I went all the way over to Ron's and got the 103. I was on a mission from god.

1.5 gallons of Toluene vs. 8 gallons of fuel gives you 94+ octane.

Ralph,
I'm not doing any tuning more than what I have been doing. My map was designed for 93 and although I've taken some timing out per guidance from TXS, I just wanted to bump up the 92 to 93 for daily driving. On the highway, she runs pretty hot.
My mission has petered out a bit, as it was a reaction to the CEL I got. Sub-sonic took a look and said it was due to 'no cats', so I'm not as worried now. Before, when I saw the CEL and had no idea what it was from, I was mentally troubleshooting as to why I got it and I figured that it could be from the low octane.
Question is, higher octane won't make you go faster, right. It's sole purpose is to raise the detonation threshold. Of course, if there's less threshold for det, you can bump up your boost, which could make your times faster.
Gang tackle flame would be appreciated if I'm wrong.

Increasing the octane of your fuel can make you "faster" without MANUALLY raising the boost in the case that your ECU has seen slight knock events (that you haven't felt/heard) and has adaptively "pulled timing" in the past.
Increasing the octane in this case allows the computer to see that it is "safe" (read: 0 knock events) to actively map higher timing to a certain rpm range without increasing boost. This can regain power that was "lost" due to lower octane.
Fun to have a computer second-guessing us, eh?
Glad to see you're still on the ball and UTEC'in it for us wannabes, Pat!
