hey I'm new here and new to the subaru scene. i have a 05 forester xt. i want to covert to 5spd or 6spd what ever works better. i read somewhere i could use 02-05? wrx sti? maybe not 100% sure on that. or would i need to seek out forester manual parts. if you have something please let me know thanks. just message me with your contact. thanks

 

Ask on the Forester forums. It's not that bad, but a lot of work + money. You'll never get the price of a true 5speed Fozz by doing a swap. I'd just get a Fozz that is standard. The 4EAT is quite hardy and can be "manually" shifted. There's also another thread on the Forester forums about "manual shifting the auto." I have an 05 FXT that's auto and it's a blast honestly. I also have had the transmission upgraded to handle the power.

thanks guy appreciate the help. I've done research myself. i went to the forester section and see what was there ig to some info. wanted to know if any knew people who had what i needed if it was possible to get it locally rather than buying online and waiting.
