30K service

Besides what is suggested by Subaru, are there any other fluids/parts that I should replace during a 30,000 mile service? I'm going to have Vakamon do the servicing, and I'll be having them install new brake pads, full Sti Suspension, and possibly new spark plugs. I'm also having my alignment checked, as my car shakes noticeably between 60-70 mph (I think I messed up my alignment going over a pot hole). Am I missing anything? Can anyone suggest a good alignment shop? Thanx for your time!

all service done up to this point as suggested by Subaru

hey long time no see MENG!!Damn your ride has super low miles??I want to buy your car know!!LOL When I did mines, i just thought to do everything even though some werent recommended..I flushed my radiator and did the engine oil..My uncle did the brake bleeding, tranny & diff..As far as fluid brands are a concern, i just used castrol(at the time) and prestone for engine and coolant, for the brake and tranny & diff, i bought them from checkers but forgot the brand!!

60-70mph car shakes usually means unbalanced wheels....

a bad alignment usually means the car pulling to one side or the other though hawaii has some of the worst road crowns....

the "dude" isn't cheap. if you want a good alignment with whatever specs you want then he's your man. i think it was around $105 or $115 for just the alignment. i had to buy 2 sets of camber bolts so mine was over $200. otherwise there are good places to do just a basic alignment. island brake and alignment in pearlcity is good but call ahead and make an appointment. also if you just want a cheap but effective alignment sears works, yeah thy broke my seat but hell it was cheap and they were the only place open. sry for the hijack

Like the other guys said, shaking at a certian MPH is typically the wheels out of balance. Subaru says to "inspect" the trans and diff fluid at 30K, but it's not a bad idea to change it if it hasn't been changed. Some of the stuff on the market will totally change how your trans feels (in a good way. ) Look forward to seeing you!

Planning on having the service done within the next month, or whenever I can get my lazy butt over to Vakamon to set up the appointment. Thanx again for all of the replies. I recently bought a set of tires from Vakamon, so I hope the shaking can be attributed to unbalanced wheels.

most likely due to unbalanced wheels. also, check for flat spots on each tire.

good day!

if you need alignment, bring it to sears, they do good work at a great price too i'd also do a leakdown test too, just to see how healthy your car is running, ryan can do it
