2015 WRX/STI Front Lip

Aloha everyone! Anyone have any luck ordering/receiving the SPT front lip from Subaru?
I was quoted msrp + ~$240 shipping and a 2 month delivery eta from servco. As much as I would like to have the genuine, it's a little pricey.

I've looked into some alternatives and found a replica from the mainland, from jcmotorspec.com. Anyone familiar with these and quality? Price quoted via email is 160 + 220 shipping. Waiting for reply on possible group buy, maybe reduced shipping if they can fit multiple quantities in one box. http://www.jcmotorspec.com/product-p/jcm-040.htm

Also, if anyone wants to possibly split shipping from Subispeed in the near future, let me know. Interested in ordering some OLM bulbs and other small things.

Shoots!

There also known on the NASIOC forums as "HTAutos". There is a tread regarding there 2015 OEM style lip kit, pretty good feedback & reviews of the fitment & quality of there kit. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2630052

Front lip is $229, but there entire kit is only $499. I was planning to order this kit for my STi, if your interested too, perhaps we can order together & split the shipping cost.

I'm also looking into ordering parts from Subispeed, I'm down to split shipping cost on parts I wanna order

Sorry small kine late response, I was waiting for an email back about shipping from jc but never got one. I saw the HT ones on nasioc, they look good, but I think I need the oem style that comes up on the sides to cover up a scurb. Did you happen to order either the lip or from subispeed yet? I think I'm going to just order a grimmspeed license relocate kit, wanted more stuff but short on the funds lol.

I should have ordered one too from the dealer at the time, probably would have been here by now. Anyhow, did you go with the ground or 2 day shipping from subispeed? Stoked on their products and prices are good, but the shipping is small kine killer.

Just grabbed Bayson R's lip on ebay for $160. I was lucky to get one with an OEM looking badge because they sold out again.

For the hardware, I used some pop rivets on both ends and in between some of the screws. Pop rivets helped hold the lip in place while I installed the screws. Stainless steel washers were used with the screws as well.

The front/middle section.

The two included front/middle cheap and very brittle pop rivets were totally destroyed after a one-time use so I ended up using some GM ones I had laying around.

Driver's side, flipped nuts and bolts opposite of the instructions. Looks cleaner than threads hanging down.

Same for the passenger's side.

The end product. Gave it some 303 for shine and protection.Name: 20140926_124502_RichtoneHDR-picsay_zpsblo8ac1c.jpg

A small STI badge was included, looked like the OEM one.
