Aspen White(51E) has always been a Subaru color mainstay. I'm pretty sure the host guy does not know that fact. Spec-C STI's always been in 51E also, hence why the special edition version has it
I don't like Subaru's direction at all. Maybe it is because they have been doing so well the past few years they have been complacent. No luxuries of a standard STI like auto-AC, 5disc, etc but have a stiffer suspension. I don't think Subaru will even move some of that stock when it comes to the shores. They aim this car at enthusiasts, but the real enthusiasts enjoy the luxuries that come with the STI stock and if they want to have a "stiffer" suspension, enthusiasts would mod it. Maybe if they allow the EJ207 on the Spec-C to be in it, then people would be interested, other than that, "special edition" cars like that, the "Saks 5th Ave. C Class", and "special edition Accord" are a complete ripoff.

aspen white "was" a color you could get...this is no longer the case. subaru has stopped producing cars in this color and are not available in cars 09+ iirc.
If it had some kind of a special engine that was more powerful and not easily achieved by modding the regular STi I would be impressed. A stiffer suspension and rims are something you can easily do on your own probably for cheaper just don't get whatever Spec C badging.
If I were to buy a Spec C it'd have to have:
1. Upgraded 2.7l semi-closed deck engine or Turbo of some sort...maybe one of those variable turbos they use in diesels.
2. Oil and Tranny fluid coolers installed for you.
3. Upgraded suspension and brakes
4. Underbody aero package.

1. Make that "C" in spec c stand for Cosworth
2. Factory coilovers
3. Perhaps make this available as a sedan as well
4. More lightweight parts
5. Better seats
6. Reinforced chasis
maybe except for the cosworth part, the rest seem reasonable.
