Hmmm I always wondered what a Highlander would look like with a hood scoop.

Hey Shaggy are you mating Foresters and Highlanders at Servco???

Looks pretty snazzy, but I think it could actually be just a lil bit bigger. And it needs some nice side skirts and not that grey plastic crap or whatever.

Thumbs down

Bleh, it's starting to look more SUV'ish. The boxy style looks better and sportier, IMO.

i mean they do it to be more competitive... i'm sure that if everyone of us buoght a brand new subaru every year then subaru would listen to us. but since we buy once or twice and were satisfied with the old look we won't be needing to upgrade right??? so in that case they will market the customers that will buy a new car every 2-3 years and also a car that majority of ppls like and unfortunetly we "enthusist" are not that market of ppls so sad but very true

It's definitely more mainstream, leaving the wagon look to the more normal SUV shape. Because of that, I think it is more cookie-cutter now. At least with the old shape, if you slammed it, it would still look cool. But now, because of the tall three-box design, it won't look as sporty. But like anything else, we'll just have to see it person to see if we like it.

I agree with shaggy.. Its like the new WRX and STi models I hated them when I first saw them, but like the '06 and '07s its growing on me and Im not going to be getting rid of my GC anytime soon! So I think Subaru is trying to keep attracting people and unfortunately we enthusiast get pushed to the side. C'est la vie! I still love Subarus!! The new FXT looks pretty good for a people mover

It's definitely more meainstream...as long as it keeps the turbo I am fine with it.

Just needs a good suspension makeover and such.

I actually like it. the fact is, its a small suv not a wagon and it looks the part now. i think that for the enthusiast if you dropped it on some coilovers with a nice set of wheels and a new grille it would look pretty sick.
