2008 First Hawaiian Auto Show?

Anybody make it to the show?

What did you guys think?

The red STI with the attractive product presenter in front of it was getting a lot of great attention as well as the 09 Foresters.

^ no GTR. Also no new M3 or 1 Series.

Overall not bad. Just sitting in the new STi was special. Too bad the new EVOs were locked!! Haha, one more win for Subaru.

The "exotic" car corner was kinda a let down. Although its always nice to see a Ferrari, let alone three! 599 FTW!

The free subscription to motor-trend was worth it for me, plus seeing some interesting new cars. Still can't believe the EVO was locked....

Yeah the r8 was gorgeous and I was surprised to see the lexus IS-F there. Those evos were pretty tame looking. The R8 stole the show for me.

I was at the show on Thursday night.
It was nice to finally see the Evolution X.
It's one of the cars I'm looking at getting within the next 6-9 months.
The price sheet on the Evos didn't have a markup price though.
Mitsubishi dealer selling Evos without a markup?!?!!?

The other car that kinda blew me away was that Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. Never saw a Gallardo Superleggera in person before.
Besides that, I've seen pretty much all the other cars that were at the show.

No GT-Rs... of course... but they were giving out large GT-R posters.
The guy at the Nissan counter said there's a $7k markup on it and a $500 deposit is required, but then I go to New City Nissan and they tell me it's a $10k markup and there's a $5000 non-refundable deposit required.

No GTR, no ZR-1, no Viper, no Porsche CGT, no really exotic exotics and the R8 wasn't the TDi version.. Typical Hawaii auto show. At least I got in for free.. Now having seen the Evo X, I really wasn't at all impressed.. Oh well.

Car Info: ?
The Lexus GS Hybrid looked beautiful, but the 10k difference and the negligible city/highway mileage between that and the strictly gasoline motor didn't justify the price...

The Infinity M35/M45 looked very nice from the outside, but had way too many button, ***** and gizmos cluttering the interior...G37 looking pretty hot

The new Evo's look huge compared to VIII and IX....

as for the new STi, ah still not liking it, seats, logoless IC, hatch didn't strike an appeal in person...BBS wheels an upgrade option?

exotic section was so-so....
