Lol... {-.-}

nice

MUSTANG>Dynojet... I would have like 400whp on a Dyno jet and 25psi is crazy on pump gas. nice power though!

as far as i know, it's the ONLY AWD dyno on oahu. :confused:

plus super in hawaii gets one more octane compared to cali (92 vs 91) for a little more comfort/safety. :noidea:

Got it, 92 must be nice haha

yeah it pulls very nice in the low to mid. it's amazing what twin scroll turbo and MIVEC can do. now if only Suby will bring a twin scroll and dual AVCS combo to the USDM market.

oh and thanks again for taking care of the car for me at the dyno in my absence!

nice numbers! Do you have any plans to modify the TC-SST since you probably are exceeding its max design torque of 347 lb-ft?

4080wrx 10-09-2009 07:01 PM

no plans for the moment. I may end up doing the AMS tranny cooler around tax time. other than that no real SST upgrades have really hit the market. I will wait till there is a proven clutch pack upgrade, till then i will keep the TQ under 350.

Agree, my friend have an Evo X MR with the AMS SST cooler and he said it make a difference in traffic..... hmmm yeah.... at least he has peace in mind. lol

surfaboi75 10-10-2009 04:36 AM

not to be a downer, but do those numbers seem kinda low for all those supporting mods? I went with my friend to dyno his completely stock evo X gsr with a "z-chip" aka piggy back mail tune, and he put 312 hp and 320 hp on the rad motorsport dyno. I guess it must be more a matter of saftey lol - his afr was spot on but who knows? also the stock turbo on the evo X is a 20g lolz

the SST looses more HP/TQ to the wheels than the GSR 5spd does. there are plenty of side by side comparisons of MR's vs GSR's with same mods on same dyno's that will show MR's doing less HP/TQ than GSR's. on top of that I am sure we can agree every tuner and dyno day conditions are different. : banana :

surfaboi75 10-10-2009 01:08 PM

ahh that explains it, ya and there are an exasperating amount of variables to take into consideration on test day. either way though you can't argue with 300 + hp to the wheels:thumb:

what is your buddies AFR's averages during normal driving and WOT?

We get 93 here with the option of 94 at certain stations for only a .10 to .15 premium. But that's neither here nor there nor do I understand why there are differences from state to state.

I'm interested to see how long the tc-sst or whatever that tranny's name is will last with more power.
