10lbs boost in my RS =....

ONE HELL OF A RIDE!!!

I got the Boost controller hooked up... but it's not controlling boost properly.. 10lbs BABY! stuck me to my seat. I didn't even think the fuel system could hang on for that period of time, but somehow it did... briefly.

I got skeered and pulled my foot out of it.
I need to check all my connections. Clearly something isn't right or I have no clue how to set it. Oh wait, I have no clue how to set it!!

Can anyone help?

did I mention that it was crazy power and I was pinned to my seat?

WOW.

After the initial shock was over I giggled like a girl for five minutes.

Just got it all figured out.
Works great. Spools up to full boost over 500 RPM sooner. That's power you can feel in the butt dyno! 13.5 here I come.
Thanks for the offer.
It's the Blitz Spec R Dual Solenoid Mamma Jamma.

I have the boost back down to 5 lbs. I have no CURRENT desire to go any higher. Later on when I have 4700 saved up for a new bottom end, I'll push it up to 12lbs and see what happens.

cool, glad you figured it out!

Later when you have 4700 plus the cost of a new turbo, ... THEN see what happens when you crank the boost up! Cause when you blow the bottom end, ... you'll probably end up with pieces of your motor flying into to turbine side of your turbo! hehe j/k!

oh shtick, I didn't think of that...
Ok well... I'm just going to buy a bottom end then. Don't wanna buy a new turbo. The one I have is potent enough I'm sure.

for the USDM 2.5L STi bottom end??
are you serious? I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
I'd be in the 12's until my tranny blew itself to bits.

10lbs is not boom. With a LINK and the right sized injectors, it can hang.

I'm going to do it. I'm getting the RC engineering 550cc's for my car and the FTC1 with the two bar map sensor. It'll be grooooovy, baby, yeah! I'm going to run about 8-10lbs after all that and my intercooler. <----- still need help installing it.

curious, how much $$ was that?

and as far as installing the intercooler, do you have piping and all? Are you just looking to have little brackets welded on?
