"Shifting" skills is required for 1/4 miles but not much "Driving" skills. AutoX requires more of both.

I say you pay Islandx (Steve) the $200 to learn his expert "shifting" skills.

wait wait, how about pay me $200, to see if i can ask steve to teach you for $150:banana:

don't think there is much to do for $200. you can get a drop in air filter? how about weight reduction!

unless you drop a bit more cash it will be a challenge to find parts that cheap. took me a while to find some parts for cheap, but it happened. eventually

Yes, driving (more specifically, launching and shifting) improvements that come with practice are what's going to get you from point A to B quicker. Subarus are great cars (although not built w/drag racing in mind) and until you can reach the limits of your car in its current state, I wouldn't bother spending money on more mods. If you can get better than a 13.50 (stock) in the quarter mile, then i guess it's finally time for more power mods. In fact, if drag racing is going to be your thing, I'd save money every so often to buy a clutch when the time comes.

I say... search yourself and honestly find out what you want out of the car! If you plan on doing anything with your car you'll have to a GOOD set of tools...

I vote for a very good set of tools instead of getting any "performance" parts for your car...

Also take the time to get to know your car if you plan on doing anything with your car. You didn't even know that you had a jack in your car (I know cause I was there)... You have to know what you bought before you can start upgrading it!

$200 will get you a pretty decent amount of tools that will help you to upgrade your car if you decide to do it after getting to know your car!
