number in windhield tint

number in windhield tint

so i have a 2008 STi and i noticed today while laying in my passenger seat there's the number 79 in the right hand corner tinted area of the windshield but it's transparent. does anyone with a 08+ have this in their windshield???

the tint cant go beyond that or its illegal in some states

No it's not that number. It's TRANSPARENT. it's maybe about an inch and a half

no i tried but it doesn't show in the picture. it's backwards when i'm inside the car. i'm going to have to try again and take a picture tomorrow during the day time.

Are you the first owner of the sti? Maybe the previous owner had a sticker "79" for a rally/track/drag event..

we had a customer complain about something like that where I work. It was one of the "09" stickers that sales put on the windshield and after sitting in the sun. Guess it "baked" into the tint.
