03 rsx help?

i know its not a suby but i need help with my girlfriends 2003 rsx... maybe one of you know? she started it up smoke started spewing out of the vents smelled like electrical i think that the deck is wired up bad so i shut it off now the smell went away.... now it wont come out of park unless you manually overide it any ideas to y it would all of the sudden be getting stuck in park??? any info will help thanks!

look on CRSX buddy. Sounds like its an automatic so i would guess it has something to do with the wiring. Do you have an after market stereo? Check the fuses, see if any are blown.
Or an aftermarket alarm hooked up to the brake switch?! Not sure how those things wire up? That's why I asked. Maybe it fried that wiring...check fuses like suggested first, and then the brake switch. Is there anything else your aware of that isn't working?
There's no s/b on it. Just thought Id checked for ya. (work at Acura).
Check fuse 8 at the under dash fuse panel. Also fuse 9 under hood. Would be good fuses to start checking.

Still trying to figure out why this post is here...in the Late Model Tech Section....this has to be a joke or the mods have been hittin the bong and forgeting where they are.

her dad figured it out some wire from the stereo grounded out on a connection to the shifter, problem solved checked all the fuses there fine thanks for the info lzykid4life
