EVO magazine Forester STi article

I just got a magazine that is in from the U.K. called EVO. This magazine had an article about a Forester STi, so I figured I'd scan it and give you guys a link. It seems like our Forester XT to me, but what do I know I have a WRX.
Here is the link:

I also have scanned a 6 page article in the same issue that is a shootout to determine the best Impreza EVER, at least in the U.K. Interestingly they have a WRX STi Type 25, which has the US STi 2.5L engine in it. I am going to shrink these and find somewhere to post them, I will start a new thread for these when I finish them up.

Thanks for posting link to scanned magazine pages. Interesting that they'd market the XT as an STi in the U.K.

From the description in the article, it seems they've done a bit more to it that just the XT treatment. The suspension and wheels seem much better on the STi.

Yes, it's similar to the case of the watered down version of the WRX compared with some of the JDM models and other export models. Too bad the Forester STi will only be sold in Japan. It would be nice for that UK magazine EVO (or a U.S. magazine) to actually road and equipment test the STi because that 'guesstimate' 0 to 60 time of below 7 seconds seems awfully slow. The USDM XT with 5MT has been clocked at well under 6 seconds for the sprint.
