Auto-Manual Transmission
It is official that Subaru Baja turbo will come with Auto-Manual transmission (Shiftronic/Tiptronic...not sure the exact name).
It would be natural to assume that the Forester should also offer the same option. Anyone know if the Forester XT will come with automatic transmission with manual shift mode?

Maybe in 2005 - SOA
Nope. Baja is the pioneer in auto-manual transmission.
Got an email back from SOA. They said maybe in 2005, the Forester will adopt the Baja tranny.
You see, with the same horsepower & torque, the Baja is slower than the Forester due to weight.
Baja=3600 lbs.
XT=3210 lbs.
Oh well...
